Sweden's Sten Lundin on his way to the 1961 500 World Championship on his Lito 500. This '61 Lito raced by Lundin to the title was actually a 1960 works Monark 500 painted painted black. After Monark shut down operations in 1960, Monark Factory rider Lundin went to one of the former Monark principals and offered to campaign his old works bike as a new machine. The resulting "Lito" was basically a works bike for the common man. Lito's would be built from 1961-1965, with only 35 of these exotic beauties ever being built. #300PoundBeast #Thumper #Motocross #Heritage #History #WorldChamp #60smoto by tonyblazier
