The quiet "thank you" and gentle salutations of "brother" and "sister" in his native tongue (Nentego -Nanticoke People of the Maryland Eastern Shore), was as impactful as a shout may have been into our audience. Reverence and respect, preservation and heritage, he was an inspiration to our Maryland State Park rangers in preparation of American Indian Heritage Month. Several parks will be celebrating #AmericanIndian #heritage with programs, workshops, events, and displays. To learn more about what's happening close to you, contact parks directly or visit the Maryland Park Service social media or webpages. We offer you the chance to connect with history and the future.
